S2293 - LEGISLATURE PASSES 'SECURING OUR CHILDREN'S FUTURE BOND ACT' - $500 Million (P.L. 2018, c. 119)
Pending Voter Approval in November, P.L. 2018, c.119 will provide $500 Million (down from $1 billion) for Vo-Techs, School Security, and Clean Water Infrastructure. The breakdown is as follows:
$350 million would support county vocational school district projects and school security projects.
$50 million would support county college projects
$100 million would support school district water infrastructure improvement projects
A4110 - Requires certain school buses to be equipped with lap and shoulder seat belts - P.L. 2018, c. 118
Modifies existing law, P.L.1992, c.92., requires school buses to have a three-point lap and shoulder seat belt or other child restraint system for each seat on the bus in conformity with federal standards.
The legislation takes effect immediately and applies to school buses manufactured on or after 180 days of the Governor's signature.
