School Reopening, Proposed Legislation, Waivers & ASBO
School Reopening: Governor Murphy & Department of Education Commissioner, Dr. Lamont Repollet, will be holding a briefing on K-12 School Guidance today at 1p.m. The briefing will be livestreamed on the Governor's official YouTube channel:

Potential Legislation: The Assembly Appropriations Committee is meeting today and S2303/A4140, a subcontracting bill, is on the agenda. Additionally, S2273/A-20, the HEALTH BENEFITS bill is also scheduled for consideration by the committee today. See the proposed changes to the health benefits bill at the following link. One change is that the effective date would now be January 1, 2021. The Senate and Assembly have voting sessions on the legislative calendar for Monday & Tuesday of next week.
A-20 - Amendments
Transportation Waivers: Please be advised that the statutory reference for transportation waivers is 18A:39-1c. This may be a tool for your district in regard to transportation capacities.
ASBO National Conference: As you probably know, ASBO International has cancelled its in-person conference in Nashville in the Fall. Don’t forget to cancel your hotel reservations if you had already made them.
