KeyAlert - 941 update, FAQ - FFCRA

941 Reporting Update – The KeyAlert sent on July 9th had information regarding the changes in the form 941 concerning reporting wages paid under the FFCRA. Keep in mind that while employee retention credits do not apply to Federal, State or Local Government employers those wages paid for qualified sick leaves and qualified family leaves are not subject to employer FICA, this does apply to Government employers. Therefore these wages should be coded separately in order to report them correctly on the Form 941. Most payroll companies have sent information regarding this information.
