Your Rights in the Workplace - October 29th, 2020 -10:00 am – 12:00 pm
This seminar will focus on workplace environments, what is considered a hostile work environment and affirmative action issues. We will review legal standards, ethical implications, discuss real world scenarios, and develop suggested best practices and approaches.

NJ Department of Education - Offices of Fiscal and Data Services (OFDS) and Fiscal Accountability and Compliance (OFAC) Update and Risk Assessment Tool.
November 10th, 2020 - 10:00 am – 11:00 am
The New Jersey Department of Education will present an overview of the Department’s Risk Assessment Tool which is utilized to identify LEAs for Federal monitoring. The Risk Assessment Tool is required under the Uniform Grant Guidance and includes 12 indicators as well as adjustment variables that are used to determine a LEAs risk score. In addition, the Department will provide an overview of the 2020-21 Federal Desk Monitoring and Collaborative Monitoring processes including a timeline for the monitoring. Lastly, the Department will provide an overview of the CARES Act and Coronavirus Relief Fund monitoring which will take place during the 2020-21 school year.

CPA CPE DEADLINE- the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs has announced that due to the pandemic they have extended the December 31, 2020 CPE deadline to June 30, 2021.

Toys for Tots- Due to social distancing requirements, NJASBO has created an online donation link on its website for Toys for Tots. NJASBO will do the shopping for you! Of course if you prefer to donate items you may make arrangements with Lisa to drop them off. The Marines have asked that NO stuffed animals be donated this year. The donation link can be found HERE.
